Ann-Louise Scheepers (Annie)

APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist & Endurance Athlete

Ann-Louise “Annie” Scheepers is a passionate endurance athlete and APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 18 years of clinical experience. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from Auckland University of Technology (2008) and a Master of Health Science in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (2012).

After a decade running a highly successful private practice in the Clare Valley, Annie launched Endurance Physio in Adelaide — bringing her specialised expertise to endurance athletes who want to train, race, and recover with confidence. Her clinical approach integrates advanced musculoskeletal assessment, biomechanics, strength and load management principles, and performance insight to help athletes maximise output while minimising injury risk.

A dedicated age-group Ironman triathlete, Annie is a four-time Ironman finisher and two-time Ironman World Championship qualifier. She has competed in Ironman Australia 2024, the 2024 Ironman World Championship in Nice, Ironman New Zealand 2025 and the 2025 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. She has also completed major marathons including Rotorua, Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Barossa, and Sydney.

Balancing high-level endurance training with clinical practice gives Annie first-hand insight into the physical and psychological demands of performance sport. She understands load, fatigue, recovery, setbacks, and the discipline required to perform at a high level — allowing her to deliver care that is both evidence-based and deeply athlete-centred.

Additional Training and Areas of Interest

Annie has completed further training in running and cycling injury management, clinical Pilates, and women’s health physiotherapy (with over eight years of experience).  Her approach is grounded in biomechanics, movement efficiency, and load management—helping athletes stay injury-free and perform at their best.

She also has a special interest in cycling physiotherapy, offering comprehensive support for riders dealing with overuse injuries, pain on the bike, or challenges related to posture, saddle comfort, or performance. Her background in both physiotherapy and competitive racing gives her a unique perspective on solving sport-specific problems.

Annie is particularly passionate about supporting female athletes, understanding the unique challenges they may face across training, competition, and recovery.

Athlete-Focused, Experience-Driven Care

With a personal love for cycling, running, ocean swimming, and surfing, Annie combines lived experience with clinical expertise to deliver truly athlete-focused care. She works closely with each client to provide tailored, evidence-based physiotherapy that supports injury prevention, performance optimisation, and long-term resilience in sport.
